I wish to touch the basic recognition of the self, to
cue sensations, reactions that call out to what it is
that has compelled us to recognition even before we
knew that we were being driven. There comes a time when
an unexpected experience effects us and we are left
amazed, searching out from which secreted locations in
the ocean of the self such feelings are washed up. Such
feelings deny the rational and find a more primal
voice, one of fear and anticipation, both vertiginous
and peaceful.
pragmatic physical description of typical work:
The sculptures are hollow-form, bronze fabrications.
This classification defines the pieces as being created
from sheets of bronze, fashioned into curves, arcs,
angles and planes; shapes that through their dynamism
create an enclosed and hollow space.
